Pop into Annan Museum to see the new ARoM display — featuring costumes, sashes, badges and much more.
Curator tours and talks will be held between 11 am and 4 pm, as well as the chance to look at new donations, do some ARoM crafts and other children’s activities.
All creatures great and small will go head to head at Breconbeds Equestrian Centre, near Eaglesfield, at 10.30 am.
Principals visit local schools throughout the day.
This year’s quiz will be hosted by Newington Primary School.
Teams from the Annan Burgh primary schools take part in this annual challenge which has been going strong since 1981.

An afternoon of entertainment in Newington Social Club aimed at our Golden Years residents.
Free event at 2 pm, includes soup and sandwiches.

An evening of darts, dominoes, skittles and other novelty games will be held at the Blue Bell Inn from 7.30 pm.
Our traditional walking of the boundary from Brydekirk to Annan. A leisurely stroll along the riverbank. Well-behaved dogs most welcome.
Meet at the Town Hall at 6 pm for free transport to Brydekirk. Sturdy footwear recommended.
After the walk there will be a quiz at Annan Athletic Football Club.
Craft & food stalls at The Courtyard. Memories of Annan Past & Present exhibition and free antiques valuations in St Andrews Church Hall. Musical entertainment and magical mystery along the High Street. Many shops will be offering ‘Saturday Only’ offers. Organised by Annan The History Town Group. Event runs from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm.

Past and present Principals, Committee Conveners, General Committee, Queen of the Border retinue along with youth organisations meet at the Town Hall for parade at 10.45 am. Our Cornet and Lass will lay a wreath at the War Memorial. The service will follow in Annan Old Parish Church at 11.15 am.
This popular event takes place on the Everholm, with the fun starting at 12.30 pm. Rafts will set sail from the former Cuthbertson Bridge site at 2 pm and prizes will be awarded at The Blue Bell Inn at 5 pm.
Registration at Cochranes, Newbie from 8.30 am. All ages welcome for the 1k walk, jog or run, which starts at 9.30 am. Route is suitable for prams, wheelchairs and dogs. The 5k event starts at 9.50 am and is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs and dogs are not permitted. Entry fee is £2 per person, medal and refreshments for all participants. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd M&F in 5k and 1st M&F in 1k.
